Well-being Tips - #1 Learn to Breathe!
Many of us are in the habit of taking short, shallow breaths into the chest which activates the stress response - 'fight or flight'. When our body thinks it is under stress it releases hormones such as cortisol and, over time, this can lead to illness.
Start to notice how you breathe and practise breathing into the belly. This activates the bodies innate relaxation system and switches us to 'rest and digest'.
